"I saw Rhodey in the online ads for adoptable dogs and thought he might be a great addition to our family. I went up to the shelter bright and early on May 3, 2024, and he came up to me and he stood on 2 feet and hugged me around the neck. That was it! He came home with me that day! Here we are, over 6 months later and I still get those hugs every day. He was an abandoned dog, and hadn't adapted well to be around people, but that changed fast. He was a FAST learner with house training, although we’re still working on manners. LOL. I’ve included some pics.
"He wasn’t sure about grooming at first, but Cori, our groomer is very patient and works with him and now he loves to go see her. He even loves the blow dryer now! He loves his hedgehog and other toys, and when he gets tired of playing, he takes naps with them. He’s a big goof and we love him. Even mom, who wasn’t sure of having a big fella in the house. We thought he was a doodle, but after a DNA test we found out he’s 100% poodle. He has a great demeanor and has no mean bones in his body. He’s a great dog and a great companion!" - Tim C.
