Facilities Coordinator (Part-Time)

Title: Facilities Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Operations

Schedule: Part-time 8-12 Hours Per Week

Salary: Negotiable

 

Summary

The Facilities Coordinator performs maintenance services as needed and assigned, and will assist in a wide variety of maintenance activities; address immediate safety and operational concerns; oversee organization of garage and storage spaces; assist maintenance vendors; and ensure that tools, materials, and vehicles are maintained and in good working order and available when needed.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide basic maintenance for facility and equipment.

  • Oversee organization of garage and storage spaces in collaboration with the Director of Operations.

  • Assist maintenance vendors with projects to ensure projects are completed in a safe, efficient manner.

  • Install electrical wiring and equipment, office equipment, and facility equipment as directed by the Director of Operations to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Maintain DRHS vehicles, tools, and materials in good operating condition. Schedule appointments to repair and maintain DRHS vehicles as needed. 

  • Repair and/or replace broken windows, doors, locks, closets, furniture, and lockers.

  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.

  • Clean and inspect boiler; treat water with proper chemicals.

  • Maintain basic plumbing, and arrange for professional services, when needed.

  • Treat sidewalks and entrances for snow and ice, as needed.

  • Obtain estimates for supplies and repair parts. Order parts and supplies as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • One (1) year of building and equipment maintenance experience or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

  • Have steadfast belief in the mission, policies, and procedures of the DRHS.

  • Make decisions in the best interest of the organization.

  • Work collaboratively with diverse groups of people including volunteers, department supervisors, and staff.

  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills. Able to prioritize and adhere to deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented and resourceful.
